  • Google Hangout [ For audio call with Team Member]

  • Browsers with addons like Grammarly, what font, Developer Tool , Awesome screenshot Etc.

3. Protect your workspace :

  • Prepare Location for work from Home so you can concentrate on work efficiently.
  • Talk to family members or roommates about the hours you are working from home and the ground rules during those hours.

4. Communication :

  • If you manage Team, be clear with them about communication like timing of meeting, task list and productivity expectations you have, now that your team is working remotely.

5. Make sure to clarify expectations for your team :

  • Connect with key colleagues around communication, work priorities, and success metrics.

6. Note your project progress :

  • Remote workers need to be especially proactive and alert colleagues to progress on longer-term goals. For instance, you might send a daily email with a list of projects that have advanced that day.

7. Resolve issues quickly with a Conference call :

  • Email, text, IM and other written methods of communication are prone to misunderstandings. When you sense this is happening, be quick to do hangout, skype or phone to resolve issues.

8. Promptly return emails, calls, and voice mails :

  • Keep in mind that Team members tend to be more aware of time when working remotely. Fair or not, a colleague might find a four-hour response time to an email much too delayed when he or she is picturing you sitting at your desk at home all day.

9. Sharing documents and Uploading Code :

  • Use google spreadsheet and google Drive and Github to manage your task list and code.

10. Stay aligned with company culture :

  • Do whatever you can to keep things aligned with your existing company culture. Even though working remotely does drastically change interactions since you’re no longer together in person, you can still make sure that the little things you did in the office continue.

11. Dress and groom professionally :

  • Your morning prep routine plays a large role in determining your mindset for the day. It’s tempting, but don’t make a habit of joining conference calls in bed in your pajamas. You’ll find you’re more productive when you dress for the day .

12. Client Confidentiality :

  • Going hand-in-hand with security, client confidentiality must be addressed in a policy. Again, keeping information confidential is much easier in a protected workspace.

13. Self-Discipline :

  • Now that you are working from Home unsupervised, it is important to impose self-discipline. Make sure you create environment of trust for your supervisors and for the team working under you.

14. Urgent Leave or Break :

  • You should get approval for leave request just as you normally do well in advance. If you need to take a break during the day make sure take permission of your supervisors.

15. Daily Reporting :

  • Send Email end of the day with detail task report just as you do.
